CdLS Awareness
Early diagnosis leads to early and appropriate intervention creating the best quality of life
Cornelia de Lange Syndrome effects approximately 1 in 10 000 births, yet in Canada it is often not diagnosed or diagnosed much later in life. This not only results in late and inappropriate intervention but impacts the individuals' and their families' ability to lead a high quality of life.
We provide education to healthcare providers, educators and families on the typical signs and symptoms associated with the syndrome and known best practices.
