I am a 77 year old Mum to Jenny Christina Hammond, who passed away on September 1, 2017 at the age of 42. She has two younger brothers now in their forties with children of their own.

I moved back to Canada in 2021 to be closer to the family after my husband passed away in December 2020. We had been living in Bermuda for 42 years. Jenny lived with us there until she was almost 20 and thereafter resided in Toronto, where we continued to see her regularly.

I am still learning about grief and loss. I think one does over a lifetime. If I can help others and myself to understand the process better, I will consider gathering this way a worthwhile undertaking.
